Community Action is an administrative office for various State and Federal grants that fund various programs that serve low-income residents of the county.

Grants are provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
