Spring Garden Market and Home Show

The Butler County Master Gardeners and Butler County Parks and Recreation Department are joining forces once again to bring you the 2017 Spring Garden Market & Home Show on Saturday, May 20. This will be the 15th Annual Show now located at Alameda Park. The park will be transformed into a showcase of exhibitors geared to helping you welcome Spring! The event is from 9:00am-3:00pm with specialty food items, FREE children activities (including face painting, live animals and crafts), landscaping materials, live plants and more available for purchase throughout the day.

Don’t miss the Plant Sale! We will have live entertainment at the venue this year so come out and enjoy the live band performing 10:00am-11:30pm and again at 12:30pm-2:30pm.  Contact the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department for more information and vendor registration. Registration is due by April 30th.

The 20th Annual Septemberfest is back and admission is still FREE! Fees for vendors, car cruisers, anglers, and 5k participants can be found at the Butler County Parks and Recreation Office, if not listed below. 

Our Award Winning Youth Fishing Derby returns (yes, we have live fish in Alameda Waterpark), along with games, children activities, music, prizes, and the Annual Alameda Septemberfest Car Cruise.

We will have food vendors, crafters, and vendors of all types with us during the Septemberfest. 

The Craft and Vendor Show will be from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

If you are interested in reserving a space as a vendor or crafter, cost will be $45.00 for a 12’x12’ Non Electric Space and $55.00 for Electric Space.

Car Cruise

Join our Septemberfest and bring your car for our Car Cruise. Half craft vendor show and half car cruise. This year you can enter your car to be on our Septemberfest t-shirts next year in 2017! Drop in and submit your name, the winner will be drawn at 3:00pm the day of the event on September 24, 2017. If you pre-register at $12.00 you will receive a t-shirt during the event. Pre-registration is due by September 8th, 2017. Join us the day of the event at no charge, however you will not receive food voucher or t-shirt. T-shirts will be available by purchase at the registration tent. The first 100 cars will receive a dash plaque for the Annual Alameda Septemberfest.

 

5K Lions Club Toot and Scoot

The Lions Club is teaming up with Butler County Parks and Recreation for their annual 5K walk/run! This year at the Septemberfest participate in this benefit run then enjoy an awards ceremony, raffle prizes, and chili! Proceeds benefit the Butler Lions Club charities that include the Blind Association of Butler/Armstrong County and Butler Meals on Wheels.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not mandatory. The race starts 9:00am sharp on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Pre-registration can be sent by mail, or you may register on the day of the race starting at 7:30am at the Carousel Shelter. Youth Fishing Derby

Fishing starts Sunday September 24th  for children ages 15 years and younger.

The Award Winning 20th Annual Alameda Youth Fishing Derby.

We have one age group for fishing for prizes 11:00am-2:00pm those pre-registered will be able to enter through the gate at 10:45am to secure their spot. All others needing to register please come early you will have to register at the Septemberfest Registration tent. 

The cost is $7.00/angler if you pre-register by September 8th. After September 8th the cost is $9.00/angler. Please bring your own tackle, fishing pole, and bait. We will provide the fish!

Those needing to register must check in at the Septemberfest Registration Tent prior to coming over to the Alameda Waterpark area.
